Ame’s America

As an Indigenous women-led organization, we’re all about the transformative power of storytelling and how it can help create a culture that values every individual. This initiative highlights the amazing resilience of Indigenous people, their influence on culture, and their ability to create a better world.

As part of this social media-driven campaign, the organization proudly welcomes Amelie Velez Martínez, affectionately known as ‘Ame’, a young Zapotec teenager, as the host for a compelling series dedicated to exploring the influence, contributions, and narratives of Indigenous people, migrants, and natives in everyday culture in the United States. Ame will interview Indigenous artists, community leaders, and people who work in the food industry, fashion and other cultural ventures.
