The Weaving Words and Rhymes concert was first organized in 2016. It promotes and revitalizes Indigenous languages in Los Angeles through music. By having performers that integrate languages such as Zapoteca and Mixteco, they are giving new life to Indigenous languages. By incorporating the language into non-traditional spaces, they are also pioneering new forms of identity formation for a new generation. The weaving words and rhyme concert also seeks to create cross-cultural ties by bringing together various indigenous communities from the United States and Mexico.
Artists who have participated include:
Mare Advertencia Lirka, Supaman, Una Isu, Pat Boy Rap Maya
